since coming to taiwan...i've been reminded of why i am no longer teaching elementary school kids :|  i normally have a lot of patience, but when it comes to screaming, obnoxious kids...my patience begins to run thin.  my mom opened up an english bu xi ban in taiwan...and there are kids running around the school every day.  i find myself sometimes wandering out into the lobby area to see what everyone is doing only to wander back into the teacher's room, away from the loud kids who refuse to sit down.  i spent three days in taoyuan with some of my mom's friends...and they have two boys - one in 2nd grade and one in 3rd grade.  the second grader has a speaking voice that is several decibels above yelling...and at times, i restrained myself out of politeness from plugging my ears with my fingers.  at these times, i am reminded that i am not yet ready for motherhood.  and i have also decided that there will be no whining, no screaming, and no demanding from my future children.

the foot is down.

xanga has seemingly been ignored for quite some time now.  another semester has just flown by, and i wonder where the time has gone.  it doesn't seem like it's been a year and a half in fort worth already.  after the initial sadness of jess leaving...i wonder what i will do with myself next semester.  i can still feel the stress of school..and when my mind wanders, sometimes, i find myself reciting greek paradigms.    and that sorta makes me sad.    maybe leaving this place will help.   a month off.  and i'm so excited to see people in taiwan again   it's been...3 years since i left taiwan, but whenever i go back, it doesn't feel like time has passed.  same good friends who look the same and act the same :)  it's comforting.  i'm sitting in the narita airport right now in tokyo, waiting for my connecting flight to taipei.  they were showing xfiles on the ride here from lax, and it reminded me of gary tsang for some reason.  the ride from lax to tokyo was relatively short.  i think i slept most of the way...and then watched movies.  not a great selection of movies.  not a great selection of food either.  :|  i've been spoiled by eva.  i'm psyched about taiwan tho :)  SO EXCITED :D  i miss mommy :(  and something about taiwan just feels like home.  can't wait to visit kaohsiung and see people again :) when i go there...it reminds me of how God works in all different places in different languages and cultures.

so i saw a guy that looked almost exactly like bryan wang at lax...he had the hat and everything (not the panda one, one of the other ones) and even dressed like him...and i stood in line staring at him, wondering if it was bryan...  and as he walked by, i got a no-so-pleasing glare from the girl that was walking next to him, probably his gf.    whoops.  :P  needless to say, it wasn't him.  :|

i need new contacts.  my vision has been getting worse and worse lately.  i can't tell if my vision is blurry right now since i slept in them on the plane...or if i just...  can't see.  :|  signs of aging :(  *sigh.

fort worth is now on the map with a brand new apple store :D  oh yeahhhh :)   i knew they were building one in university park but had no idea they had already opened it.  boo for missing another t-shirt opportunity :(  anyways.  went to the store today to go to the genius bar to get a new charger and on the way out, went to look at the new ipods.  stood in front of their newest black mini and lifted it up out of the charger and all of a sudden, alarms started going off everywhere and everyone in the store turned and stared at me.  :(  apparently, you cannot take the ipods off the charger or it will set off alarms in the entire store.  lesson learned :|  i calmly set the ipod back in the case and quickly left the store extremely embarrassed :|  i wonder how may times that happens in a day.
